As 2022 comes to a close, we have decided to close “open applications” for our Snip Your Pit program. Due to the pandemic and inflation, the cost of surgery has dramatically increased, fewer vets are willing to partner with us, and wait times following approval to get surgery are far too long (3-6 month wait list). Unfortunately, at this time the program is unstainable. We are hoping things will turn around for us in the near future.

Since 2007, Born Again Pit Bull Rescue’s mission has been to save lives by keeping dogs out of local shelters through adoptions, spay/neuter assistance, owner and shelter support programs, and community education. Through the generosity of individuals in our community, our “Snip Your Pit” program has been able to provide free surgeries to locals, who needed a helping hand! Over 1,525 pit bull type dogs have been spayed/neutered --- spending over $66,185 since the program started in 2012. We are all incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported and believed in this program over the years.

Our Snip Your Pit program director, Isabel, who has been with BAPBR since April 2019 will be transitioning to our “Communications and Marketing Director” role.
