Are you game for a variety of volunteer activities? We are seeking General Volunteers to help us with all sorts of projects, from walking dogs at our partner shelters, to manning event booths, passing out flyers, and much more!
Community Education Team Member(s)
We are in need of Community Education Team Members who will educate the community and promote animal welfare. In this role, you will research relevant topics, create presentations, and represent BAPBR as a well-spoken educator and ambassador. Bring your love of teaching and enthusiasm for helping people!
Extra extra, read all about it! That’s what we’re hoping our fans will do when we roll out our quarterly BAPBR Newsletter. We’re looking for a team of writers who will take on this project and help us launch it in the fall of 2014! You’ll have creative license to research and generate content on a variety of topics for each publication. Let your storytelling skills shine!
Market Research Analyst
Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for business research? We’re looking for a Market Research Analyst who can help us understand our market share as a non-profit here in Portland and the greater Pacific Northwest area. In this role, you’ll provide BAPBR with a full report on our competitive landscape and help us differentiate our rescue organization from “the pack,” so to speak.
Senior Graphic Designer
BAPBR is searching for a Senior Graphic Designer, preferably with 5+ years of graphic design experience, to work directly with our Creative Director. The right person for this role is a self-starter who takes ownership of projects, is deadline-driven, and designs to impress. This is the perfect outlet for your talents, and a great way to help build your creative portfolio!
Hashtags and re-tweets and followers, oh my! BAPBR is in need of a Twitter Lead who will not only manage the day-to-day content on our feed, but also help network us to the Twitter user base, start new and interesting Twitter conversations, and increase the number of people following @BAPBR1.
Fundraising Team Member(s)
Do you love to plan parties and mingle with new people? You’d be a perfect fit on our fundraising team! As a BAPBR Fundraising Team Member, you’ll be involved in every step of the event planning process, from brainstorming event ideas to coordinating logistics and securing sponsors.
Animal Care Coordinator(s)
This is the ideal role for dog lovers who want to get hands-on with our Adopt-a-Bulls throughout the rescue and adoption process. As an Animal Care Coordinator, you’ll travel to local shelters to meet dogs, take photos, gather information for bios, review adoption applications, and be the point of contact when someone calls about one of our dogs. Because you’ll be working closely with our Animal Care Manager, as well as local shelters, this position requires you to be available week days when shelters are open. Prior rescue/shelter experience is preferred.
People love seeing pictures of adoptable dogs, but videos really reveal a dog’s personality. BAPBR would love to start including videos in each bio on our Adopt-a-Bull page, but we need an experienced videographer who can go on-site to record animals, edit content, and deliver a final video experience that entertains viewers and helps our dogs get adopted. YouTube user experience is a plus!
