Angela Adams

Board President, Director and Founder of BAPBR

A full-time CNA, Angela Adams is passionate about the welfare of humans and dogs alike. She became involved in animal welfare after falling in love with a friend's Pit Bull Terrier puppy in 2004. Angela spent 2 years volunteering full-time with a local animal shelter before starting BAPBR in 2007 from her own home. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to develop this relationship-based organization and improve the lives of our foster dogs. In her free time, Angela enjoys spoiling her three personal dogs, Sway, Max, and Judd.

Amanda Ferguson

“Snip Your Pit” Director, Board member

Amanda has been volunteering for social and animal causes for over a decade. She became especially interested in low-cost spay and neuter programs after volunteering in shelters and experiencing the dog and cat overpopulation problem firsthand, while simultaneously volunteering to connect poor and homeless people with veterinary care for their beloved companions. She leads our “Snip Your Pit” program by working with community members and local veterinarians, promoting spay and neuter, and managing data for grants. Amanda works full-time as Associate Director of Scientific Journals for a non-profit scientific society. She adores her two dogs, Baby, a Staffordshire Terrier mix, and Tito, a Chihuahua mix.
